Ciarán in Lorraine TV show gives hints for next year’s projects

“I may be involved in another theatre project later in the year. At the moment we wait to see if the Lynda La Plante Above Suspicion got the figures that it needs to get to see if they will make another one. And meanwhile a script has landed in the door just yesterday; a small film but I don’t know the dates on that. So at the moment literally I finish on the 26th of February and either I get the sandwich board out and march up and down or something will turn up.”

Silent Scream concluded with nearly 6 million viewers

Above Suspicion returned for a fourth season and was aired weekly instead of over consecutive nights. The latest figures reveal the concluding part of Silent Scream was seen by 5.7 million viewers at 9pm on January 24th. Are Langton and Travis destined never to be together, or could they? Hopefully we will almost certainly be given another good story next year and maybe know more about their complex relationship…

The Shore nominated for an Oscar

The Shore, written, directed and produced by Terry George, is one of the movies selected in the best short film category. The 30-minute film was shot entirely in Northern Ireland on location in Killough. Ciarán said it was a “lovely story about reconciliation and people reconnecting”.

The featurette provides an insight from the director’s vision about the spectre and more. Langton is back!

Langton has the extra agenda in this story that he was passed over for commander, because of something that was found out about what happened in the last series. His story begins with him being told, ‘Sorry, you’re not getting it’, and he challenges why he didn’t get it, and they bring up this old case. Langton had told every one of his guys to shut up about it – not to say a word – so he then throughout this whole story has another agenda, which is about finding out which one of the team, whether inadvertently or deliberately, let the piece of information go.

Above Suspicion: Silent Scream begins on Monday, January 9 at 9pm on ITV1.

“This Above Suspicion is different from any other we have done because there is a possibility
of many different suspects. The film director is interviewed, the drivers, ex-lovers, actors
she’s worked with, her agent and even her ex-housemates. Any one of them could be
involved.”

Although the actors’ performances are very enjoyable, it may be difficult to engage with the labyrintic plot and the slow pacing of the movie. Once more a very frustratingly small part for Ciarán.
